An accomplished watercolorist and photographer, Ann presently focuses on pastels. She has grown accustomed to stepping out of the box to work in other mediums for local Community Art Fundraiser projects. Her passion for vibrant color usually shows up in her wide array of landscapes and other joyful subjects.

Ms. Coleman started to develop her creative talents as a child, doing commissioned portraits and other works even before graduating high school in Amherst, NY. Her secondary education included study in Austria at Salzburg College and the Salzburg Art Academy, graduating from Skidmore College with a BS in Studio Art.

For the last 38 years Ann has lived on a dirt road along the southern border of Vermont where she nurtures flowers and vegetables, feeds birds, glides on snow, peddles over countless hills, sails, gazes at stars and creates beautiful images that have been exhibited throughout the eastern U.S. and are found homes around the globe.

In August of 2007 she fulfilled a long time dream and opened her own gallery in historic downtown Wilmington, Vermont.

In December of 2009 she bought a derelict building on Main St, Wilmington and moved the Gallery in.
With renovations only millimeters from completion, Tropical Storm Irene’s floodwaters of August 2011, picked up the entire structure and deposited it into Lake Whitingham. She lost 44 of her original works and over 400 prints of her work.

Ann continues the search for a more permanent home to house her forever growing collection of original masterpieces and limited edition giclee prints.
In the meantime, her work can be seen in various locations of the Southern Vermont Deerfield Valley @ VisitVermont.com and even more conveniently; on lineā€¦
Where she is always open to shipping orders and discussing commissions.
