Due to COVID19, we will be holding the Lyn Asselta Workshop Virtually.  These workshops are being offered to our members as a non-profit event so the fees collected reflect the Instructor’s fees only.  Unfortunately, because it is a virtual 2-day workshop, only 12 members (minus the two workshop coordinators) will be able to attend.  Therefore, only 10 slots will be available and the workshop will most likely go into a lottery.

Dates:  April 30 – May 1st.
Time:  9:00 am – 4 pm
Cost for the 2 Day workshop is $200.

The Individual Critique Sessions will be available to 6 members only.  A lottery will also be held.

Date:  May 1st
Time:  Scheduled Individually
Cost:  $100

If you are interested in attending, please send your check made payable to Vermont Pastel Society to: Linda Masten, 497 Fox Hill Road, Bennington, VT 05201.  All checks will be held and returned to you if you are not picked in the lottery.

Deadline for checks is March 1, 2021.   The lottery will be held on March 5, 2021.  We will hold a separate lottery system for a wait list for those who did not make it into the class on the first lottery.

Members will have preference over non-members.

The “Why” of Painting
A 2-day Zoom Workshop

To know “how” to create a painting, it’s important to know “why” you want to make that painting.  Most of your painting process can be determined by answering that simple question.

This 2-day virtual workshop will explore the way your intent can help shape your paintings and allow your own unique voice to come through.

This workshop will consist of demos, group discussions, and painting time daily, with an additional “casual critique” for the group on the first evening.

Individualized Critique Sessions

Each individualized, in-depth critique session is an hour long and consists of reviewing/discussing 2 paintings of your choice, and the opportunity to ask questions about any art-related concerns you may have.  Critique sessions will be held via Zoom.  All images and questions must be sent in advance.
