Over 150 attendees came to the VPS Juried Exhibition Artist Reception on October 4th, 2024. There were beautiful balloons, spectacular floral arrangements, lots of food and wonderful music! The exhibition will be up through November 24, with pick up being November 25th. Thanks to those of you in VPS, especially the CV Hub, who made this event happen.

1st Place

Marianne Nealy – Winter at Shelburne Farms

I loved all your work, but this is my favorite. The color is so rich with beautiful colors in the shadows. Even though things are such a complex pattern it draws me into the distance of the painting. Really amazing. Jeneane Lunn

2nd Place

Laura Winn Kane – Focus is Key

This is an absolute tour de force of pastel painting. Incredible drawing and attention to detail. Great job on every surface. The metal is remarkable. I can’t imagine being able to paint this. Jeneane Lunn

Beautiful strong colors and value contrast. Well drawn. The composition really benefits from the diagonal in the foreground and the shadow on the black tanker. Excellent work that really draws me into the painting. Jeneane Lunn

This is amazing. Beautiful job on the effect of night and the lighting. Great job on the cars and moving my eyes through the painting. Wonderful job taking such a complex scene and making it into a composition that works. Jeneane Lunn
