Deedee Jones has been involved in artistic endeavors for as long as she can remember.  After her children were mostly grown, she began taking classes at the River Gallery School in Brattleboro where she quickly fell in love with pastels.  She has almost exclusively painted in pastels for the past 15 years with a few diversions in watercolor.  Deedee’s subject matter is the landscape primarily of Vermont and New England. Pastel offers the perfect medium to achieve the rich color and excitement that she wishes to achieve in her landscape paintings.   In the past few years, she has traveled to France, England, to the Western US and Canada, and most recently to Italy where she sketched and photographed scenes to paint in her studio. Vermont Artisan Designs in Brattleboro currently has some of her works of France as well as more local landscapes.

Deedee has shown her pastels in several venues in Brattleboro, Grafton, Putney, Newfane, Windsor, Burlington, Brandon, Manchester, and Rutland, VT, as well as Keene, NH.
