Short & Sweet!
If winter finally gave up with fits and starts, summer has finally – after its own fits and starts – begun! Words of the season: stay cool!
Our VPS calendar is moving right along with a successful Member Exhibit at the Chaffee in Rutland with thanks to the Mid State HUB’s organized program start to finish. Check out the recent HUB postings on the website! We are a very active and engaged group of artists whose artistic production is incredible – what talents we have! Kudos to all! Now on to our fall events.

VPS BOARD NEWS
Your Board has been engaged in discussions concerning PSA/IAPS pastel requirements for pastel member and juried shows. This discussion will continue at our fall Board meeting with clarification of our VPS pastel policies for these shows. No changes have been made. Let me know if you have any concerns and …see you at the fall member meeting!
BROKEN RECORD
OK, here’s my schpiel…again!! VPS is asking YOU to step up into the Vice President position. It’s a very easy position – been there, done that! Along with that position we need someone to take over being Webmaster. John Landy (present Webmaster) has offered to be Treasurer as Linda Masten will retire in the fall. They both will continue to be available to guide and aid new position takers – you won’t be alone at all! All our Board members are so very talented and amazingly committed to keeping VPS strong, vibrant, and successful. Could YOU add your strength to our Board – please think seriously of joining this extraordinary group – they help us all. Let me know…or talk to your HUB leader!!
AND FINALLY: Don’t forget about our scholarship availability… and boost our Art Community: ask someone to join us!
Shirley Carlson, VPS President
